[Recap Event] Leader Talks: Inclusive Leadership – Fostering Diversity and Equity in the Tech Workplace

Women In Tech Vietnam, Women Tech Entrepreneurs (WTE), and Amaris Consulting jointly hosted the event “Leader Talks: Inclusive Leadership – Fostering Diversity and Equity in the Tech Workplace” at Amaris Consulting’s office (Viettel Building, 285 Cach Mang Thang Tam, Hoa Hung Ward, HCMC) on August 03, 2025.

The event brought together professionals from technology companies, HR experts, business leaders, students, and advocates for gender equality in the tech industry. Its goal was to share actionable strategies for increasing the number of women in leadership roles, improving communication across multicultural workplaces, and promoting inclusive leadership - a model that values every voice and contribution regardless of gender or background.

Event Highlights

The program opened with an inspiring keynote by Ms. Khong Loan - former Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Vietnam, Communications Consultant, and Founder & Lead Trainer of Spokesperson Training Vietnam. Her talk, “Impact Beyond the Boardroom with Strategic Communication,” emphasized that strategic communication is a powerful tool for women to assert their presence in multicultural environments - not just to be seen, but to truly be heard and recognized.

Following the keynote was a panel discussion titled “Practical Strategies in Software Companies to Increase Female Leadership and Promote an Unbiased Workplace.” The session featured insights from:

  • Ms. Nguyen Phuong Tu, Deputy CEO of Human Resources, KMS Technology

  • Ms. Nguyen The Trinh, Hub & People Manager, Mantu Vietnam

  • Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Quyen, Country Director & Ambassador of Women In Tech Vietnam; President of Women Tech Entrepreneurs; Chairwoman & CEO of Sharework

  • Mr. Charles Manteufel, Cross-Cultural Communication Coach, SHAREWORK

The speakers and attendees exchanged real-world experiences on empowering women to lead confidently, engage in open dialogue, and break invisible barriers in the digital workplace. Yet, the discussion emphasized that true inclusivity goes beyond women’s empowerment - it is about creating leadership models where individuals of all genders, backgrounds, and perspectives can actively participate in decision-making.
